Exercise Review

Of the practices that we learned about in this course, I am going to continue to use the subtle mind and loving kindness practices.  I have found that starting my day off with the subtle mind exercise helps me prepare for what I know will be a stressful and hectic day.  I feel calm and rejuvenated, ready to take on anything with a clear mind.  I have also found that ending my day with the loving kindness exercise helps me settle down and recuperate emotionally from a long and hard day.  I have also found that starting my day with ninety minutes of yoga helps me begin and end my day.

  1. Wow, I am jelous that you have time for 90 minutes of yoga! It is hard for me to find the time to get in 30 minutes of exercise, good for you! Anyway, the subtle min exercise is a great way to prepare your mind for your day, I would definitely consider using it with my future clients. I plan to work with children so the loving-kindness exercise would work well too, great post and good luck finding your integral health!

  2. I am so with you on this one, I may not have the 90 minutes to devote to the exercise in the mornings but I do feel that the loving-kindness and the subtle mind are the most effective for me. I will continue to use them because they too help me get through my day. Good luck to you

  3. I think that's a great idea to end your day with the loving kindness exercise! What a fantastic way to invite some restful sleep and sweet dreams into your life! I can imagine that you're setting up your subconscious to continue those positive feelings throughout the night. That probably bleeds over into a positive morning as well. :)

  4. Hello,
Completing the subtle mind and loving kindness exercises every morning is a very good addition to your healthy yoga schedule. I found that these exercises, as well as yoga are able to really help me to reduce my stress levels. I really enjoy yoga, however I do not get as much as 90 minutes a day. I really need to make the extra effort and do yoga for a longer amount of time.

  5. Hassel,
That is wonderful that you are doing the yoga for 90 minutes each morning. That is something that I would like to try. I have never tried it but do practice Pilates.
You do the same 2 exercises that I do except I do the Loving Kindness in the morning and the Subtle Mind in the evening.
Glad to hear that you have enjoyed using these exercises as well. What a wonderful new tool to incorporate into a healthier and happier life. God bless you and good luck with your continuing use of these exercises.
